Una Martin is a registered advanced nurse practitioner in rheumatology at University Hospital Waterford. Having been awarded a clinical bursary from the RCSI school of nursing & midwifery she has spent the last 12 months working with a team to produce a booklet to support patients living with arthritis and managing lifestyle entitled “Living your best life – a simple guide to living with arthritis”

This month, we welcome Dr. Easkey Britton, Irish surfer, author, artist and marine social scientist from Rossnowlagh with a deep love and passion for tapping into the healing powers of the sea.

Professor Seán Kennelly from Tallaght University Hospital will be speaking on brain health and Alzeimer’s disease.

Join us for our next virtual educational meeting. Caroline Cummings, Chartered Physiotherapist and Martina Meegan who teaches the NHS Yoga4Health programme will be talking about prescribing yoga, its evidence base, clinical use, and the Yoga4Health programme.

We are delighted to welcome Prof. Barbara Ryan, Consultant Gastroenterologist and Clinical Professor, Trinity College Dublin to speak at our virtual meeting at 8pm on Tuesday 27th September 2022 on "The Gut Experts' 'TEAMS' approach to managing IBS: A Paradigm for managing most medical conditions!"

This will be followed by updates from last weeks British Society of Lifestyle Medicine Conference.
